Hi, I'm Niki

I teach Yoga & Dance here in Winchester, and feel very lucky to be able to share my passion - moving with emotion!

My classes aim to ignite a connection that we can all make - being present in our movements and allowing our emotions to guide us. The overall experience is one of feeling grounded, yet alive.


I always offer my first class for free - I'm a great believer that it's about you finding classes that work for you. It's a very personal thing.

I am fortunate that I’ve been able to practice yoga and dance for over two decades. I have enhanced my original RYT 200 Yoga Teacher training (London), with qualifications in Assists, Prenatal, Postnatal, Meditation, Dance Fundamentals & Alignment (Colorado).

  • A fun dance workout based on the famous Latin and Ballroom dances

Strictly Dance is a fun dance-workout based on the dances from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ - Jive, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Foxtrot, Lindy Hop, Waltz, Mambo, Cha Cha, Paso Doble, Quickstep, Hustle, & Tango. Classes are partner-free and suitable for all levels no matter your dance experience, or where you are on your fitness journey.  


Each class is a diverse mix of the Ballroom & Latin dances - find the rhythm, then build from there…. the patterns are easy to follow, with the option to keep the movement lower impact, or add intensity as your fitness improves. Enjoy uplifting music from every era - from Pop & Motown, to Soul & Swing. Leave feeling energised with a smile on your face :)

FAQ's - Strictly Dance

Do I have to have dance experience?

No, you can enjoy Strictly Dance classes having had no dance experience at all, or equally, if you’ve enjoyed dancing before. Classes are for those who are interested in learning rhythms and patterns of the Ballroom and Latin styles and dancing to them in a fun way.


What do I wear?

Clothing that allows you to move freely while heating the body. Indoor trainers are required. 


Do I have to be a certain fitness level?

No, classes are designed so that you can choose your level of intensity, building your fitness gradually. Equally you can use the class to build strength and stamina.


How complicated are the classes?

We dance the steps in patterns so that repetition allows you to master the footwork, once you have the rhythm and the steps you can then build on your technique and style. All steps are danced immediately to music so it’s easy for you to find then keep the rhythm. Classes are in a mirrored studio so you have plenty of spatial awareness …and other people’s feet to watch!


How long are classes?

Classes are 1 hour which includes an all-important warm-up and cool down.


Do I need a partner?

No, classes are partner-free - you will alternate between learning the male and female footwork and holds, it’s more simple than it sounds.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes of course, we strongly encourage you to bring friends who you'd like to introduce to Strictly Dance - their first class being FREE of course. Simply enter their name and email in the Booking Form when you book your place, and we'll do the rest!

I teach a range of styles of yoga. My classes aim to inspire inner energy, build strength, stamina and flexibility, and challenge individuals to find and hold their centre. My style caters for those who want the benefits of a physical practice, while also creating an environment for a calmer mind with meditation and breathwork woven in. I have an emphasis on correct alignment through all styles, and am proud to offer a safe practice for all levels. My classes provide a wonderful opportunity to practice mindfulness and meditation - even for those who are completely new to it.

Soul Yoga

Find your inner calm, and practice being present. I designed these classes to create an opportunity to truly connect with your soulful side - something we perhaps forget in a faster-paced class where we're worrying about what our yoga 'looks' like, or how much we're 'advancing' or 'bettering' our postures. I use a range of yogic tools which allow the mind to come away from the daily pull and instead get back in touch with yourself - so you move, flow and release right from your centre, your spirit. In these classes we use tools including breathwork, meditation, playful flow, Yin, Anusara & Kundalini. Classes are suitable for all abilities, including beginners. All you need is an open mind.

Gentle Flow

A slower flow allowing new-comers to the practice to really understand and FEEL what is happening in their bodies, or to simply allow breathwork to match the flow at a slower pace.

Vinyasa Flow

I teach a dynamic Vinyasa Flow, focusing on allowing a natural flow of movement to develop through moving meditation. This is a flow that allows individuals to come away from an overactive mind and help establish a healthier relationship with the body, strengthening muscles and balancing energy; so individuals are better able to cope with life’s stresses. 

Yin & Restorative

These classes are so needed amid the pace of life we live in the western world - a chance to slow down and restore, using the postures, gravity and breath to calm the mind, connect with the body, release fascia (connective tissue) and allow the benefits of these restotrative postures to marinade around the body and mind. Essential oils and assists to compliment.
